This course has been written by an LGBTQ+ activist and is primarily aimed at non-LGBTQ+ carers who feel they need to broaden their knowledge around this topic. To take it, you first need to complete the "Introduction to LGBTQ+ Identities and Issues" course.

In the previous course, you will have learned about what LGBTQ+ identities are, and common struggles LGBTQ+ people may face. This course will expand on what you learned, to understand how LGBTQ+ identities may develop over time, what obstacles LGBTQ+ children may face and how to support them in that development.

In this course, you will learn about
- the stages of identity development LGBTQ+ individuals may experience
- the personal struggles that may come with LGBTQ+ identity development
- the strategies for supporting LGBTQ+ children in their identity development
